It is shaped like a stubby hook and is about the size of a human ear. It featureds an on/off switch and a loud speaker. Worn behind the right ear; the device will trigger a loud beep if the driver nods off. It will revert to silent mode once the driver lifts his or her head and assumes normal driving position.
